My Experience

Unfortunately one day my one year kid right eye started discharging water and we thought it will recover in a day or two. However, it started discharging more and getting little red too. We visited our child doctor and he said it might be some infection and prescribed Tobramycin. On the third day, he got high fever 105 and we were hopeless, when visited again Dr. Manish in Pranaam Hospital Miyapur Hyderabad, he informed it may be viral and gave a 5 day course. So we got involved in the fever and correlated the eye discharge to viral. He advised us to visit Shankar Netralaya, Miyapur Branch Hyderabad for the red eye and believe me we were all hopeless that time as our child was suffering from 104-105 fever.
Fever was shooting and coming down by hard doses of Meftal. Doctor at Shankar Netralaya prescribed two eyes drops costing around Rs800  + they took Rs. 500 for registration and Doctor consultation. But it was Okay as the redness in the eye was staring in the left eye too and the fever was not coming down so we never thought of second doctor. Nothing recovered by those drops and thr right eye was completely swollen. My child got weaker and weaker. 5days went off and the fever never came down. Finally he was admitted to Pranam Hospital on glucose drips for two days and fever didn't came down. We went mad and discahrged our kid from Pranam Hospital. Took him to Rainbow Hospital Madhapur. there Dr. Farhan Sheik handled the case and admitted my child in Bajara Hills urgently. He was on drips again as his intake was stopped and bad loose motions were getting him weak. When the fever came down after 3 days. Dr. Farhan advised us to discharge and meet Dr. Bhupesh urgently for the redness and swollen eye in LV Prasad Madhapur. My child was all pale yellow, was not active at all. He was just rubbing his eyes and crying.

When we met Dr. Bhupesh, just by looking at my child he told that he got Viral Conjunctivitis that is why he has went through a tough time. It starts with throat infection, eye infection, stomach infection which causes loose motions and high fever. But as we already have losted 10-11 days, it turned into a severe conjunctivitis. Usually it recovers within a week but in my child case it became severe and the right eye cornea got involved which would have lead to scars in cornea affecting the vision in long term. BUT THANKS TO GOD, Dr. Farhan pushed us quickly to LV Prasad and Dr. Bhupesh provided an immediate treatment and my child eyes got recovered after that in two weeks, however the treatment was followed for a month.

It was a miracle for us that God saved my child eyes, otherwise me and my husband would have cried forever. I don't want to remember that worse phase in my child life again that is why I thought to help everyone and post my experience regarding the best eye institute in Hyderabad, India.

We had our worse experience at Shankar Netralaya , Miyapur. They costed us around Rs. 1500 and still the Doctor was not able to diagnose that my child is suffering from Conjunctivitis. If he could have done that, it would have never turned into a severe case affecting the eye cornea and physical health of my 1 year baby. He losted almost 2kgs in that phase.

I was really happy that LV Prasad provided the best treatment to my child from a very reputed Sr. Eye Specialist Dr. Bhupesh in just Rs. 200. I was not happy for the money for myself but for the people who cannot afford good doctors due to money. Atleast LVPEI Hyderabad made it possible wonderful eye treatments, surgeries, complete eye check ups at just Rs. 200. Eyes are the most important and delicate and if they don't get good treatment we may loose the power to see this world where we are living, playing and growing. Please take care of your eyes friends and reach to your doctor whenever needed. Do not put eye drops without consultation.
